RagaSudha - you can play like a pro, well almost! - launched on appstore

Dear Music Lover,
I have created RagaSudha, a music app for iphone and ipad and it is now available on appstore for iOS 6 and above. Download at http://appstore.com/ragasudha ;This was born out of my inability to remember ragas and play an instrument. And now even I can without any formal training in music; Just give it a try and you will amaze yourself and others. From conceptualizing it almost a decade back (to play on a computer screen with a mouse), we now have it on a touch screen. RagaSudha is for those who have listened to Indian classical music, learnt of some of its intricacies and complexities and are afraid to tread further, for fear of making mistakes. It is also for those who just want to fast track into playing a melody without sounding wrong. I am now working on the Android version. If you like it, spread the word please to those individuals or groups you think will like to try it. You can gift it too. If you have suggestions and comments please write to me at ragasudha101@gmail.com
Happy playing

Here is the official description:

RagaSudha will allow you to play hundreds of Carnatic and Hindustani ragas (Indian classical music) on several instruments without hitting a wrong note and with your eyes closed – come and experience its simplicity and brilliance. Leave, being faithful to the raga to the app!!! You just can’t make a mistake!!! And can now focus on the emotion of the raga. You can then tease your brain with tala/ rhythm and tempo. Come and enjoy what has taken centuries to create. You no longer have to envy those who are innately talented. Choose the raga and instrument you want to play and yes, begin playing like a pro, well almost!!! You can slide octaves, stress on notes, set number of beats and tempo and have a metronome accompany you. You can demo ragas, look up obscure ragas and compare them. You can also record and share on popular networking sites or gift the app to someone you know will like it better than you; it’s so simple that you don’t need a manual – and so we have not written one. You can show off too but do it quickly as you will soon have competition. We wish to improve and we know you will write in to help us make it better at RagaSudha101@gmail.com . For those who are expert we welcome your critique and hope it will at least serve as a ready reckoner &/or a useful gadget to improvise on the go and we seek your indulgence while the others try to catch up.
